Man to unveil 'visual confirmation' of space alien in video

By DANIEL J. CHACON | Scripps Howard News Service

A video that purportedly shows a living, breathing space alien will be shown to the news media Friday in Denver. Jeff Peckman, who is pushing a ballot initiative to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission in Denver to prepare the city for close encounters of the alien kind, said the video is authentic and convinced him that aliens exist.

‘‘As impressive as it is, it’s still one tiny portion in the context of a vast amount of peripheral evidence,’’ he said Wednesday. ‘‘It’s really the final visual confirmation of what you already know to be true having seen all the other evidence.’’

When Peckman went before city officials this month to discuss his proposed ET initiative, he promised to show the video. Peckman said the public will have to wait to see it because it’s being included in a documentary by Stan Romanek, a Colorado native who has reported UFO sightings.

‘‘No one will be allowed to film the segment with the extraterrestrial because there is an agreement in place limiting that kind of exposure during negotiations for the documentary,’’ he said.

But people won’t have to wait too long to see it for themselves. ‘‘There is an open, public meeting in about a month in Colorado Springs,’’ Peckman said. ‘‘We’ll hope to do one in Denver at some point, and then in a few months, there will be the documentary that anybody can have, and it’ll have the footage.’’

An instructor at the Colorado Film School in Denver scrutinized the video ‘‘very carefully’’ and determined it was authentic, Peckman said.

Peckman, 54, said the video was among the reasons he was ‘‘compelled’’ to launch the proposed ballot initiative, which has generated news coverage as far as South Africa.

‘‘It shows an extraterrestrial’s head popping up outside of a window at night, looking in the window, that’s visible through an infrared camera,’’ he said about the alien, who Peckman says is about 4 feet tall and can be seen blinking. In a statement, Peckman said ‘‘other related credible evidence’’ proving aliens exist will be shown at Friday’s news conference, too.

Seems like a clever guerilla marketing campaign for this new documentary.

It makes me laugh that people think that aliens came billions of miles in highly advanced spacecraft to be peeping toms.

If this guy thinks that the intergalactic menace of plastic skulls warrants taxpayers money being spent on a commission then aliens are the least of his problems.

Unknown. The presence of microbial life on Mars is certainly possible but it has not confirmed. Structures resembling bacteria were found in the ALH 84001 Mars meteorite, but scientists are still debating about what they are.

Oh, brother! Sure, you pooh-pooh my statement (http://www.conservativeunderground.com/forum505/showpost.php?p=1262&postcount=34) that life traveled from Earth to Mars on the probes we sent there, but you're all gung-ho for the even less likely idea that life hitched a ride from Mars to Earth on a meteorite. Siddhartha H. Buddha!

I'm gung ho? What I wrote was that structures resembling bacteria were found on ALH 84001. I have not argued that those structures are evidence of life on Mars.

They've come for our women!

Still, given the state of this congress, it's only a matter of time before they notice that Karl Rove does have a suspiciously high forehead, just like the alien, use their subpeona powers to investigate whether alien technology was used to game voting machines in Florida.

You went from calling microbes traveling from the life-abundant Earth to Mars on probes "highly unlikely" to calling the idea of microbes traveling from a dead Mars to Earth on meteorites as "certainly possible." Yeah, in comparing the two, I'd definitely call the latter "gung-ho."

You need to read more carefully. What I wrote is that the presence of microbial life on Mars is certainly possible.

Let's take this fight to the Federation Council and get back to the all-important task of ragging on the crazy guy who wants congress to investigate his trick-or-treaters. This is extremely funny stuff, and should not be diluted by bickering over serious intellectual issues.
