What cookies do you like to make? What's your "fancy" cookie and what's your "comfort" cookie? What cookie is a pain to make but worth it?

I'm making hamlets tomorrow morning. They're not my absolute favorite, but my father adores them and I have his mother's recipe.

I'm unfamiliar with that cookie (or that cookie name). What are we talking about here?

I make my Christmas sugar cookies from scratch. Other than that I just buy the already made dough.

As a veteran of many cookie baking sessions (quality control expert), I LOVE oatmeal with raisin, sugar cookies with a touch of orange zest, and peanut butter cookies.

Oatmeal cookies and sugar cookies are about it for me. My favorite oatmeal cookie is the recipe on the Quaker Oats box and I use butter. Also add raisins.
I really like the pre-made cookie dough for any other kind of cookie. :p
