Pass the Tin-Foil: The Stimulus Serfdom

Though my post count in low, I do spend a good amount of time surfing between here and DU to anger up my blood on a daily basis. With that said, I would like to offer you my DU-esque tinfoil hat conspiracy of the day:


There's a thread over there (sorry, link not provided) wherein the DUmmies are discussing whether or not resodding the National Mall is an appropriate item in the Stimulus Bill. One poster goes on to CTRL+C/V a transcript of Michael Steel attempting to explain to George Steponallofus that there is a difference between the "temporary work" in Obama's bill and creating jobs.

Has anyone given any thought to the possibility that all of these onsee-twosee little government projects in the Stimulus Bill is INTENDED to result in creating a large number of government employees?

Call me crazy, but once the jobs in THIS stimulus bill are gone, all these new UNION government workers will be laid off, put on unemployment bennies (paid by you and I) and end up being a defacto population of government serfs at the loyal beck & call of Obama to provide them new jobs or continue their benefits.

I don't think they want to create jobs at all. They want workers. Dependant, loyal, voting workers.

Yea as its been discussed and even Obama said he wanted to create 600,000 new goverment jobs.

And not one of them military. Too bad, since 600,000 works out to about ten additional divisions, which would be about what we're going to be needing when Europe tips over into the Islamic caliphate, China melts down and Russia descends into anarchy in the next few decades. Oh, and let's not forget the impending collapse of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. The Baby Boomers' response to any kind of deprivation (real or imagined) has always been protest, either violent or non-violent, depending on how they're feeling that day. If they're still obsessed with the bad acid at Woodstock, imagine what happens when they can't get any antacid through Medicaid.
