During the battle over the then Brady Bill 7 day wait (which he supported), I wrote to his office registering my opposition to the bill and asking him not to vote for it. I got a form letter, printed off by some copy machine, in response in which he reiterated his support for the bill, BUT claimed that he was a supporter of the right to keep and bear arms. Anyone who knows Schumer knows he is anything but. I rolled my eyes at that claim, and realized that it was hopeless to write him anything.
