It's a sad day. Paul Harvey has died. :(:(:(

I grew up believing Harvey's voice telling me "Now, the rest of the story" and Cronkite's "And that's the way it is".

God's speed, Mr. Harvey.

Oh man. That is sad. Hadn't heard. It seems like I've been listening to him forever. I will miss him. :(

Certainly a great man, he was an icon and will be missed.

I have always enjoyed Paul's commentary. His delivery was excellent and the subject matter was always engaging. God give his soul rest and bring comfort to his family and loved ones in their grief.

Sorry to hear that. Certainly no-one on the horizon to take his place. God bless him and his family.

Who will sell all those BOSE wave radios now?

The only times I ever heard him were on AM radio on long car trips, so I'm not as familiar with him as some of you are. 90 is a good long life. The obit in the paper said his wife died last year, and that can accelerate the end for older men, sometimes. :(

I was reading over some of his work since I heard of his passing. What was so incredible about the man was his ability to articulate simple answers to complex problems.

I have 2 teenagers. When I consider the moral decay this country has experienced in my 50+ years, I'm terrified to think of the likely condition of this country when my children want to have children of their own.

Was Mr. Harvey right in that part of the solution is something as simple as Dirt Roads? I wouldn't be surprised if it is. :)

I hadn't heard him in years. Was he still working?
