WASHINGTON - The Justice Department has released a long-secret legal document from 2001 in which the Bush administration claimed the military could search and seize terror suspects in the United States without warrants.

The legal memo was written about a month after the Sept. 11 terror attacks. It says constitutional protections against unlawful search and seizure would not apply to terror suspects in the U.S., as long as the president or another high official authorized the action.

Even after the Bush administration rescinded that legal analysis, the Justice Department refused to release its contents, prompting a standoff with congressional Democrats.

The memo was one of nine released Monday by the Obama administration.

Bush extends his hand to Obama and his wife prior to the inauguration and this is the thanks he gets. There is class, crass and horse-ass. Obama is the latter two. Repubs are too damn stupid to understand that this crap happens to them every-time they turn their backs.

The recension of this order by President Bush will not be of importance to the loonies on the left. It will be the initial order.

Notice that they are overlooking the context and the state of affairs in this country and the world right after 9/11. AND how many people were subject to this practice? Any one? Nope.

Any one wondering why he's doing this? I'm not!

With budget at stake, Obama ready to fight (http://news.google.com/news?ned=us&ncl=dqeHsAgADeTI8UMSVUBhbPuBkj99M)

He knows his multi trillion dollar budget will be a flash point especially now with a full blown depression looming.

He tosses this out, every one goes into Bush foaming at the mouth reaction and his budget battle is ignored.

And in 4 years, when Jindal is POTUS, he will have the opportunity to expose Obama for what he is.
