Hope and change, in action. Thanks Mr Fu@*tard President. (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-gitmo-uighursapr24,0,892669.story)

WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration is preparing to free into the United States Chinese Muslims being held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, the first release of any of the detainees into this country, according to current and former U.S. officials.

The release is seen as a crucial step in plans announced by President Barack Obama during his first week in office to close the prison and relocate the detainees.

However, the decision to release them is not final and faces challenges within the government as well as likely public opposition.

There are 17 Chinese Muslims, known as Uighurs, at Guantanamo. A U.S. official familiar with the discussions of their release said as many as five to seven could be resettled in the U.S.

I think they should be released in the Washington D.C. area.

San Fran or the New England area would work for me also. If one of the released terrorists blows something up in the USA, the Magic Negro and his clowns will have hell to pay. This will be on his watch and he will not be able to blame Bush or the evil Repubs.

You're forgetting nuance....

Your speculation misses the point: Between their madrassa educations, lack of language skills (do they even speak Chinese, much less English?) and generally monstrous disposition towards infidels, what are they going to do for a living? What we have here are people who have been educated by rote in a doctrine that has failed to provide prosperity or advancement, the inability to communicate coherent ideas and a deep and abiding hatred for western civilization en masse and the USA in particular. There's only one place that they can make a living in the US. They must appointed to the Harvard faculty upon their release. It's the only place in the US where they will be able to fit in and be themselves. Might be rough on the GLBT club, though, but diversity isn't always pretty...

Clever..:D
It's good that a career military man is still able to keep his sense of humor in these dark days.

Thanks, but let's face it, the only place where a group of jihadis is going to find like-minded America haters is on the tenure track at a large university, or at CNN, but without the Q-rating to be on-air personalities, they'd have no future in TV. Besides, if we want to hear incoherent rants by semiliterate thuggish dictator groupies, we can always read Sean Penn's latest contribution to the Huffington Post. Of course, Penn went to public schools in Santa Monica, while the Uighurs were probably never educated beyond memorization of the Koran, so it's a toss up as to who is the least intellectually qualified to be in the public eye, but at least on the faculty of Harvard, no one will expect coherent thought from them. :D

BREAKING: White House Overrides FBI and DHS on Gitmo Release (http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=31670)

by Jed Babbin

04/30/2009

Moving quickly to release Chinese Uighur terrorists into the United States, Obama administration officials have -- for the second time -- overridden objections of federal agencies responsible for national security.

The first time -- as I reported on April 20 -- the White House overrode the inter-agency panel it created from all the national security agencies to review all the cases of the Guantanamo Bay prisoners. That panel found that the seventeen Uighurs -- members of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement captured at an al-Queda training camp in Pakistan -- were too dangerous to release in the United States.

Now -- according to a federal agency source who requested anonymity -- the White House has also overridden opposition to the release from both the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security.

Beginning yesterday and continuing today, Obama administration officials are briefing key members of Congress on the release, which may happen as early as next week. There apparently has been no decision on where the Uighurs will be turned loose. Earlier reports suggested they could be released in Alexandria, Virginia or Washington, D.C.

Put them up in the guest house at the capital. That would be handy if Obama needs to fill anymore cabinet positions.

So, we'd have to overlook their penchant for terrorism because Al Qaeda is "too big to fail?" That sounds like something this administration would say. :D
