"President Obama’s speech at the National Academy of Sciences Monday morning hit a brief snag when Obama got ahead of his script.

Laying his plan for a President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, Obama began to name the members of PCAST listed in his prepared remarks – before realizing he’d already introduced them, earlier in his speech."

Bwhahahahaha!

That's worse than Bush's stumbling over words ever was. It makes him look like he can't even speak without the assurance of a teleprompted (which apparently he can't).

Four years from now, if we're still harping on his teleprompter... we're doomed.

My point is -- Trying to convince the general public/independent voters that President Obama is not an intelligent and articulate individual is as futile as trying to convince them that Sarah Palin is. Way too much evidence to the contrary.

You must show with easily understood facts and evidence that despite being highly capable and intelligent, his policies have failed. Only a fool would try to argue his speeches aren't eloquent and well-written--make your case by thoughtfully examining the substance of speeches vs. the outcome-- Actions will speak louder then words in the long run.

To the extent the bitter and frustrated right continues to focus on teleprompter-type issues, what does this do to win back moderates and independents?

Red meat works on the base--but they alone can't win a national election.

Does the guy not have any original thoughts??? Obama is like a friggin robot. Bush may have stuttered, but at least the man can answer questions and speak on his own. Maybe we should start a thread about how fucking stupid Obama is and how to dope can't even speak. The left would love that.

In case you have been asleep for the past 8 1/2 years this is exactly what the Dems did to Bush and, with the medias help, it eventually damaged the entire Party. (not that the Repubs didn't help with the abandonment of their principles).

If he needs a teleprompter for every public speaking engagment the his is not articulate and cannot answer questions off the cuff, which may say something about his ability to process information.

Has anyone else noticed the disconnect between his words and his body language? Could be because he is just reading from that teleprompter and not focusing on the meaning of what he's reading.

Last night there was one of those soundbites about his fury over the planes over Manhattan incident. The pics they showed of him had no relation to fury or even thought about it. It just seemed odd and inappropriate. It's like he's a robot or something.
