View Full Version : Why I HATE liberals

Stolen from the interwebs somewhere! But I like it! :D

Why I HATE liberals...
…and other progressive socialist apostate commies of every breed and ilk.

I am often asked, "Why the hatred for liberals?" To which I answer, "Why not? It’s for their own good." You see, as part of the ‘vast correct wing conspiracy’ it is our duty to hate liberals. It’s right there in the party platform (between the part about Lincoln freeing the slaves and Bush vetoing stem cell research).

In order to even become a republican you must swear an oath to defame and dissemble against all liberal enemies-- foreign and domestic. In our daily (secret) meetings it is stressed that we must pound the left into submission no matter what the cost; no epithet is too strong, no slur too low, no swiftboating too uncalled for.

And there are many many other good reasons to hate liberals. Let's look at just a few of them, shall we?

L stands for Lying Losers who whine incessantly,
I stands for Insipid Insurrectionists who Instantly blame America first,
B stands for Babbling Bolshevist Bumblers who Blame the rich for every social ill,
E stands for Enervating Extremists and bad tempered malcontent mutineers,
R stands for Radical Rabble-Rousing Rebel socialist Revolutionaries,
A stands for Also-Ran Apostate Benedict Arnolds,
L stands for Leftist Libertine subversive athiest quislings.

Another good reason is that they told me to. We all get a fax and email every day which tells us exactly what to think and when to think it. Plus there is the mandatory three hours of Rush Limbaugh 're-educational programming' every day. (Sean Hannity is only mandatory in a few of the more strict sects of the Vast Correct Wing Conspiracy cells.)

More proof? Here it is: If you rearrange the letters in the phrase, "The Liberal Democratic Party" it spells, "A terribly complicated hater!"

Interesting you would say that after posting an article that "steriotype[s] (sic) someone." Also interesting that someone would write an article called "I Hate Liberals" and end it with the statement "More proof? Sorry, while I was in college during the great Vietnam protest days (without a Cheney deferment, btw), I was much more interested in booze, broads, rock n' roll, and Old Norse lit. Didn't do any protesting. However, I was banging as many coeds as I could.

As to your second paragraph, I'm not even sure what you're talking about (honestly) as the associations are a bit too random. However, I would never post a picture of myself or my girlfriend online.

The list is funny but goes about things all wrong in my opinion. The hatred and vitriol typically comes from the Left, not the Right. The Conservative/Libertarian viewpoint is one of freedom and equality; while the Leftist/Statist (while claiming to care about equal rights) is against equality and individualism.

Look at it logically;

Are Conservatives trying to ban free speach? No, Leftists are. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairness_Doctrine)

Are Conservatives trying to ban personal property rights? No, Leftists (http://www.bradycampaign.org/) are. (http://gunowners.org/op0433.htm)

Do Conservatives try to circumvent the Constitution by selecting Activist Judges or stacking the Supreme Court? No, but Leftists do (http://judgepedia.org/index.php/Sonia_Sotomayor) and have. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judiciary_Reorganization_Bill_of_1937)

If leaders were able to point out issues like these and use the language of the Leftist(Statist) against them, the public would be able to clearly see how flimsy the Statist's arguements always are.

If what I recall from "Unfit for Command" is right, Kerry enlisted in the Inactive Reserves. Which made it an even slimmer possibility for him to get sent to Vietnam then what G.W. had in the Texas ANG. He just happened to get very unlucky that he got tagged.

I'm just shooting from the hip on this though, I'll have to go check up on it when I get home.

megs, megs, megs. At least you're learning something about universities. I seem to remember a thread in which you confused Columbia and NYU! The fact that I went to UofF (for three of my four degress) is not particulaly a secret on this board.

As to serving, are you imitating our Aussie friend who, having never served himself, loves to jump up and down screaming "where did you serve?" I hope not, because as looney as you are with your wild hypotheses, you're 100% more stable than he.

I never served in the military, nor have I ever claimed to have. Neither have I ever disparaged military service, here or elsewhere. I did not enlist, only took one year of deferment (again, unlike Cheney), was fit and healthy, and had no criminal record. Can you figure out why I wasn't drafted? It's not hard if you know anything about the era.

I simply find it incredible that conservatives fall back upon the stereotype of "unwashed, lazy, poor liberals" which (1) is a bit dated (say 20 years dated) and (2) is disproven by the fact that the two most "liberal" members of this board (although neither of us is particularly liberal imo) make more money than 99% of you hard working, industrious conservatives here.

And, btw, in reference to me, you're correct about the "lazy" part as I always try to follow Mr. Buffett's injunction:

Any manual labor I've done was purely by mistake :D

I have no desire to "castigate" what you do for a living. My point is if you (generic) are going to call me a liberal (which I'm not, particularly) and then you (generic) are going to characterize liberals as lazy, poor, unwashed welfare supplicants who wear long grey beards and tie-dye, then you (generic) better sure as hell dress better than me and make more money than me. That seems fair enough.

And I'm fairly confident that I make more than an E-5 since in the civil hierarchy I easily make more than double a G-14 friend of mine in the CIA. But, you tell me.

Would you like to know why I at least strongly dislike Liberals?

I can accept a liberal can be anyone: gay/straight/black/white/religious/atheist/poor/wealthy/dumb/smart(ish).

Many hardcore liberals can't accept me as conservative: female/black/ artist type.

I get accused of having Stockholm Syndrome, Uncle/Aunt Tom kinda gets thrown at me. Something HAS to be wrong with me for not having pulled the lever for Obama. Someone had to have told simple me SOME sort of lie.

If they can't take my thoughts for my own, I don't care to take their shit.

Many hardcore liberals can't accept me as conservative: female/black/ artist type.

It's because so many far-left liberals are outright bigots in the classic sense of the word: They cannot stand for any views but their own, and they hate anyone that does not share their views. They can't understand or accept anyone who doesn't think like they do, and their first reaction is to attack what is different or what they don't understand. We see this pattern repeated time and time again, and yet the so-called "tolerant people" justify their own intolerance and attacks by labeling us the bigots. In fact, we have a big tent, and we celebrate the most important diversity of all... diversity of thought. They will only celebrate the most superficial and meaningless of diversities, skin color for instance, while forbidding differences in opinions and beliefs, attacking any and all who disagree with them.

They are the true bigots, and they just hate it when you point that out to them...

Conservatives generally are less likely to brag about their wealth and to overcome their insecurities with descriptions of their "wealth".

How would one know how much anyone on this board really has? It's an internet board. Gee, do you think people might tend to not quite tell the truth about their vast holdings or conversely that others might be more private about their actual wealth?

Conservatives are very prone to dismiss those they disagree with as "lazy, welfare moochers" and "unwashed, poorly dressed and groomed hippies." If you'd like, I'll be happy to pull numerous quotes by conservatives on this board characterizing them as such. My point (one more time) is not how much money you make or I make. My point is that when you (generic) characterize people as such there are always people who make more than you (and therefore derive all of the benefits of grooming and dress, as well as exhibiting the implied virtue of hard work), who view you (generic) in the same light.

Moreover, when I am characterized as such by someone who I suspect (and has been confirmed by that person) makes significantly less than me, I resent it a bit, as it's clearly not only an ad hominem attack, but a false one as well.

There's no litmus test for posting here. There's not a "poll tax" based on wealth that makes one poster's opinion more worthwhile than that of a less wealthy person. It's just silly. There's no way to verify someone's net worth nor should there be.

One's advantages in life should not be used as a club over others to make them feel worse about themselves. I've noticed in the conservative flyover country that the people with "old money" tend not to brag. It's the pushy folks who have scratched their way to the top who tend display their newly acquired wealth in a way that could be considered tacky.

I'm not old wealth, just have observed them and admire the ones who truly are classy. One of them is a relative of the Bush's, a member of an old-line family who have been in the finance area for decades in St Louis. I've attended political events at his house. The person in question is on countless boards, has been a successful businessman and dabbler in politics, but if you didn't know better, you'd think he was an employee, not the owner of a vast fortune. There's no bragging, no pretense, just a truly classy person. I guess if you really have it, there's no need to brag.

You are wealthy. I'm in awe! :D

We merely have 3 greyhounds, and they were rescue dogs with no papers. And I get kind of dirty sometimes, too, when I do the animal handling at the zoo. Those guinea pigs are messy. I love tending the goat yard on a spring day there. If there aren't many zoo visitors, I sit on the bench and some of the goats hop up and sit next to me. The silly goats didn't realize that the benches were put there for the visitors, not them. You've got to be very careful where you sit. :p

No one (at least not me) is expressing a desire for a litmus test for posting. However, if a poster repeatedly wields a certain club, perhaps he/she should not be offended or upset when that club is turned upon them.

A woman I know who also has greyhounds has the biggest heart I've ever seen. She recently moved from the suburbs to a more rural area. She now has 2 greyhounds, a mutt that was found and rescued during Hurricane Katrina, 3 rescued horses,a bunch of ducks and now she has 3 goats (more to come sooner as the goat that someone gave her is pregnant). She needs to stop listening to those hard luck stories. They've got a few acres, but it sounds like they're filling the area quickly. :D

Those baby goats are darling. The only problem at the zoo is keeping the little kids from picking them up and possibly dropping them.

Having worked as a assistant golf pro in the 70's at the most exclusive club here where most of the members were millionaires, I can say unequivocally state that most rich people do not brag about how much money they make. Several large corporation bought 2 or 3 club memberships for upper level management workers. Some of these obnoxious wannabe rich dudes would try to go around trying to impress employees at the club. Members like ex CEO M.J. Rathbone of Exxon would come out to the club to play golf rather than try to impress others of how much money they made. I guess some people have a need to feed their bloated egos because of their insecurity.

Gentlemen, certainly you have run into the northeastern "Conservative" before?

They are what we used to call "yuppies". These are the ones that have been in the news lately, loudly proclaiming we "righties" need to move more to the "center" (read WAY LEFT) to have even the slightest chance of reclaiming any political power. (and we've heard this many times from CW here).

Though they have considerable salaries, they vote for candidates and support policies that will cost them more money in taxes. Some sort of weird northeastern masochism, I guess.

Not only that but they tell us what is wrong with America and what is so great about shit-hole socialistic EU countries, and that we should emulate them on gay marriage, drugs, prostitution and socialized health care. I say don't let the door hit them in the ass if that's their bag.

I've only lived in the northeast for the last six years. I've lived all over the world (not travelled, lived) and don't really consider myself a New Englander. As for moving to the center ("far left" what a laugh), don't. I will be willing to escrow a wager with you right now that the R's will have fewer seats in the Senate after the 2010 elections than they do now. How's that?

It seems to me that rather count on any positive surge from the Rs, you're counting on the Ds screwing up.

That's because liberals want skin-deep diversity. A liberal is perfectly happy dealing with a gay liberal, a black liberal, a Latino liberal or a female liberal, in fact, any superficial physical difference is acceptable so long as the person of color/gender is in lockstep conformity to the left's ideas. Liberalism is a physical rainbow of people who think exactly the same way, and they call that diversity.

Do you see anything ironic about your post in a thread in which the OP cites an article called "I Hate Liberals" in which the author accuses liberals of being full of hate? If you don't, you need to refine your sense of irony a bit.
The funny thing is that there isn't a whole lot of hate here. Compare this to DU, or even the White House Correspondents Dinner (Wanda Sykes, anyone?) and you'll see real hate. Most of what's been put out here has been more tongue in cheek than serious, and those who have expressed serious problems with liberals (CueSi, for example) have legitimate grievances.

White liberals like me have no right to throw those kinds of terms at you.
That implies that somebody else does have the right to throw around those kinds of insults. The point is that nobody has the right to demand loyalty based on skin color or gender. That's the bogus idea that people think with their skin or with their genitalia, and thus you can make the world a better place by making sure that everyone knows theirs. When someone calls out someone else as a traitor to their race/religion/gender, how is that any different from when the boobs at Stormfront make the same statements?
