You guys were right the last time, that was too much work for just 2 quarts of mix and it wasn't the best. Well I got a recipe from a fellow ELK. Its a secret recipe! They gave me the instructions and only enough secret spice mix to do 24 quarts! The spice mix makes this the bomb! You do not have to add anything but Vodka to have the Perfect Bloody Mary!!!!
I'm using some of this in my meatloaf tonite! :D

Hehe, 50 lbs tomatos, very ripe
12 mixed red, yellow and green bell peppers
12 jalapenos
12 yellow onions
6 Tbsps celery salt
12 Tbsps of the mystery special spice package. ( I would kill to get that recipe!)

Core and squish the tomatos
rough chop the other veggies
Put it all into large pots and boil for 1.5 hours or untill veggies are soft.

Now the work, use a food mill and mill it all!
Put into a fresh pot and bring back to a boil and add the secret spice mix, stir.

Start canning!! I'm in bloody marys for the summer!

What kind of Vodka do you use?

I'm needing stock in some company that's going to be doing well.

Looks great. I had never heard of a food mill so I had to google it. Pretty cool device. I have an immersion blender that might do the trick for small batches but the food mill intrigues me. Does it have a motor or is it hand operated?

Excellent mix Pat!
You have to look carefully, but Pat had another cool idea. He threaded small tomatoes (larger than cherry or grape tomatoes but smaller than a regular tomato) on a skewer. I think there were 4 in the drink. They were frozen and used as ice cubes that wouldn't melt and dilute the drink.

I don't usually do alcoholic drinks, but it was really, really good. I drank some of the Bloody Mary mix straight after we left. It was good both ways.

They were delicious and done just before the blankety blank rain came again. That rain followed us from Florida.

BTW, I defrosted a rack of ribs and have forgotten how you said you did yours. They were really good.

The weather may not have co-operated but it sounds like you'll had 5 star eats and drinks. Probably 10 times better than any Fancy Dan sophisticated restaurant.

Here's a trick I use.

When fresh hot chilis / peppers come into season in your area...get a bunch of them. Buy some good Vodka, somewhere around 100 proof. Make a Bloody Mary with it. Now, poke the chilis with a knife and stuff them into the vodka bottle, stuff as many as you can in there.

Put the cap back on the bottle, and put it away for a few months.

After that time, use that vodka to make your Bloody Marys. I use habaneros and hot jalapenos (not in the same bottle). You can hum "Light My Fire" when you make them, because that drink is going to.

Also, try jalapenos in high proof tequila. Use that tequila to make frozen margaritas. Your tongue won't know what to do with itself.

This is a great show and Bloody Mary was a great episode. I loved when she was coming out of the mirror...Im still looking through mirrors waiting to see her behind me But the best thing about this show...other than the two hot guys and the car...is the soundtrack. They have the best music ever

You should go into a side business with that stuff.
