Dang.

Good thing we aren't having anyone over this weekend.

We were sitting at the kitchen table eating just now and...WHUMP!!!

Huge limb snapped off the tree in the backyard and fell right on the patio set!!

There is a T-Storm in the area but no lightning strike and no real wind to speak of,
not even much rain.

The table has a glass top with a umbrella in the center. The glass got pushed off center
but didn't break and I just got it popped back in. Can't see any real damage and it
didn't hit the house but it was pretty close. Time to get this sucker cut back but good me thinks...

:D

Maybe it was a warning...

Trees are totally vicious and untrustworthy creatures you know.

Maybe it was a good thing that I had fixed dinner late. Otherwise SR would have been outside. When I heard that noise, had that sick feeling. Sadly had heard it too many times, the sound of falling trees and tree limbs.

I think the trees are after me. The one at my previous house fell and caused $40k in damages, falling right over the bedroom when I had taken a nap after work because of all the stress that day. Talk about stress!

Then the largest tree at this house cracked and half of it fell in an ice storm. That was almost $1500 to have the remainder removed and all of it hauled away. Then a big branch or a pear tree fell 18 months ago and landed on my house. This time it only did a little damage to the gutter.

Think it's time to get the tree guy out for some more trimming.

The pooches were inside the house. When we heard the "thump" noise, SR thought it was Blue dawg falling or something. Poor thing is pretty clumsy with all those anti-seizure meds he takes.

I thought it was too much of a sound for Blue. We ran to the window and saw that huge branch down.

It fell exactly where SR usually sits to smoke his cigars. I told him it was a sign from God that he should give up those things. He wasn't buying my theory. :D

Welcome back, LL. We really missed you.

I think you're safe. I CANNOT find a Vader pic that includes a tree or branch attacking the Evil One.

LOL!!! Then how about with a chain saw???

The limb is history thanks to my new little Black&Decker Chainsaw. It may look like
a toy but the sucker made quick work of the job. It took 2 battery packs to finish
the job but I have 5 so that's no problem. My weed wacker and hedge trimmer are
also B&D and use the same battery packs.
