Lieberman 'totally disagrees' with Pelosi (that the CIA regularly misleads Congress)

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) said today that he "totally disagrees" with Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) assertion that the CIA regularly misleads Congress.

"No, on that specific point I totally disagree," Lieberman told MSNBC's Norah O'Donnell. "Over the 20 years I've been here, I've been briefed constantly by the CIA, and I'd say they've told me the truth as they see it."

At a press conference today, Pelosi argued that the CIA lied to her in September 2002 about whether Abu Zubaydah had been waterboarded.

"Those briefing me gave me inaccurate and incomplete information," Pelosi said. "At the same time, the Bush administration was misleading the American people about the threat of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq."

She added: "They mislead us all the time."

This is what, her 5th interpretation? Of course she opens the playbook to the page that says when in doubt blame Bush.

Nah, they're gonna drag Rove before the inquisition tomorrow on why Bush fired lawyers he was entitled to fire for any reason whatsoever. I know the old Soviet axiom, "tell a lie long enough and it becomes the truth." Does it also state that if a lawful action is said to be unlawful enough times, it becomes unlawful? That IS a rhetorical question.

Anything to keep the left-wing blogs off this story.

He can fire them because he doesn't like the part in their hair. They serve at his pleasure. But Rove is still going infront of prosecutors tomorrow. I'll be really pissed if he gets Scootered.
