Over 8000 people bringing down more than $100k who work for the city and county of San Francisco, CA.

And you wonder why CA is going broke.

The cost of living in San Fran is incredibly high. I had a friend who was going to transfer to SF and even with his pay adjusted for cost of living, he couldn't afford to rent a studio apartment.

I have a cousin who lived in California. He made what I thought of as a ton of money but when he told me how much his little house cost and what the mortgage was I was shocked. He sold it and moved to Georgia and made out very nicely because the cost of a house in Gray GA wasn't quite what it was in the big city out west.

My question was going to be - what the hell do they do for that kind of money, but when I checked the list, the frist 20 people made more than 250 gs! In any normal state or city they would not take that much dough for those positions! Hang em!

Does the phrase "Government Teat" ring a bell? ;)
