Stunning pictures of the volcano that blew a hole in the sky as astronauts witness eruption from International Space Station (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1195215/Stunning-pictures-hole-clouds-astronauts-witness-volcano-eruption-International-Space-Station.html)

Framed by a circle of clouds, this is a stunning illustration of Nature's powerful force.

A plume of smoke, ash and steam soars five miles into the sky from an erupting volcano.

The extraordinary image was captured by the crew of the International Space Station 220 miles above a remote Russian island in the North Pacific.

Volcanism is interesting stuff.That picture says the eruption upwards shock wave blew a circular hole in the cloud cover.,It looks like the whirling gasses at the peak sucked the clouds into the vortex at the peak !

And 100 years, maybe 500 years, of humanity's efforts at controlling global warming has just been negated. Who are we fooling? If the earth wants to warm, it will warm; if it wants to cool it will cool. We are just spectators in this sport.

Dooms-dayer, just like me...

I bet you collect guns and ammo, like I do...

As the ISS continues its perfectly-timed flyby, the eruption continues unabated.

Ahhhh yes, perfectly timed...

I'm shocked that spooked911 and his DU buddies have not made the "obvious" connection here!!!:eek:

Clearly a Lord Rove approved weapon systems test of the VRWC's Volcano
Tickle Ray. :rolleyes::D
