Saddened to learn of the demise of a fellow Texan. Gotta hand it to Ryan O'neal, he was there until the very end.

She was my next door neighbor for a while. All I ever got outta that was Ryan O'Neal and her saying hello to me and my wife by raising their beers a couple of times.

I though she and Ryan were estranged. I don't really keep up with these things.

Back in my feathered hair days people would tell me I looked like her. I didn't.

So sad. I think she was the first girl that I tugged my sausage to. I was addicted to Charlies Angels.

What a horrible disease. At least she's no longer in pain. RIP Farrah.

Well, if there's a more eloquent tribute than that, I'm sure I don't know what it is. :o

Farrah had a long battle and never gave up. God Bless her family at this time.

First we had Ed McMahan. Then Farrah. Who is next?

She put on a greyt fight against cancer. Ryan O'Neal was indeed there til the end. They both were honorable and valiant. Maybe some of the politicians should learn from how they handle what life threw at them.

RIP, Farrah. She was more than beautiful physically, but was a beautiful person in all ways.

There was a brief blurb in the paper the other day that said they were going to get married.

How could you have feathered hair like her if you are only 29? :D

RIP, Farrah.

Her mommy would do it for her so she could be an Angel at preschool.
Probably.

Wonder how many knuckle children her image produced?

I hope it was a peaceful passing and that her loved ones were all with her.

This is going to be hard for Ryan O'Neal. He's not the most stable of people, and his kids hate him. Farrah was a real stablizing force in his life, and now she's gone.

She was actually a decent actress, and The Burning Bed was a watershed for her. LA Times has a nice writeup:

http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-farrah-fawcett26-2009jun26,0,4388762.story

But she transformed her career and some popular perceptions in 1984 with "The Burning Bed," a television movie about a battered wife that brought her the first of three Emmy nominations. She further established herself as an actress in the play and later feature film “Extremities,” about a rape victim who takes revenge on her attacker.

Robert Greenwald, who directed "The Burning Bed," told The Times on Thursday, "She was incredibly gutsy, courageous and a risk-taker. She had this wonderful beauty. This very successful career and, unlike many people, she used it to open doors and take big chances."

Michael Jackson.

Celebrity Death Rule of 3.

Farrah Fawcett - first poster I ever owned. I can't believe my parents allowed me to have her on my wall. Kiss, Cheap Trick, and Steve Martin records all a big part of my youth.

I first knew her as the Bionic Man, Lee Major's, wife. She was Farrah Fawcett Majors the first season of Charlie's Angles.

RIP Farrah.

Well it looks like all eyes are on Michael Jackson now. I wonder if Farrah Fawcett's family likes that or not.

Michael Jackson
If there is to be a fourth, let it be Nancy Pelosi. Please.

That's a lie. You tugged your sausage to the black, naked women, in Africa, in National Geographic, long before Farrah was around. :o

Off-hand, I can't think of who would replace her....

Might be worse off.

I do dis-like Pelosi though.

It would be John Kerry or Bawney Fwank. Maybe even Chuck Rangel. That is the beauty of it. No matter who replaces Pelosi, it will be some left-wing nutjob who will make the Democrats look even more incompetent.
