Attack against Iranian embassy in Sweden
An employee of the Iranian embassy in Stockholm was on Friday injured when protesters entered the compound and attacked him.

Between 150 and 200 people had been holding a demonstration outside the embassy in protest at post-election violence in Iran.

"The protest was largely peaceful except... when an unconfirmed number of people got through the fence and attacked one of the embassy staff," said police officer Ulf Höglund.

The employee, whose nationality was not known, was punched and kicked in the attack and received medical attention at the embassy.

"He is feeling a bit dizzy and he is in pain," Höglund said.

They'll take up arms anyways, but I agree with Policon on this one. One should not answer violence with violence. You then become no different than those who persecute you. Responding with uncivilized behavior to uncivilized actions says only on thing, all the parties are uncivilized.

Well, at least the protesters didn't whack off his head....

I can see in ideal terms where we don't want uncivilized actions, but how's the civilized response thing working. We'll give stern verbal warnings, issue sanctions, bla, bla. So far, the world's response has been as persuasive as the UN. Isolation or even expulsion of the Iranian embassies is actually a civilized and stronger response than what has not worked worth a damn up to this point. Do we think the same old concerted whining by various governments will suddenly start working?
