What's even more weird is that I was watching TV and a Billy Mays commercial aired right before the news segment where they announced his death, and it wasn't part of the news because there was another commercial after it.. Sad. I think they said he was 50.

Oh, the humanity!! Who's next-the Sham Wow guy...... Last I heard he had just beaten up a hooker that bit his tongue and wouldn't let go.....

Sad to hear this. I seen Billy on Jay Leno one night, he seemed liked a nice guy that worked hard to get up the ladder.

Like I've said before, it's been a bad week for famous people, that's why I'm not famous. :)

(The Las Vegas morning news actually read my above comment on the air Friday morning, LOL)

FAA Spokesperson Takes Back Billy Mays Quote

"Sounds like his wife should call their lawyer .Hit On the Head during a landing Could be a Cranial or Epidural Hematoma !An autopsy should clarify the cause of death !"

"Damage to the dura causes cranial or epidural hematoma. Usually, it comes about when a person receives a heavy blow to his head. As an effect, the brain shakes inside the cavity. Any movement inside the head could possibly shear or tear the blood vessels situated in the dura or the brain itself. And so blood clots are expected and epidural hematoma occurs."

Laura Brown, the FAA spokesperson who gave TMZ this quote about Billy Mays -- "The passenger needs to wear a seat belt during landing and he didn't" -- now says she didn't say it.

She now tells TMZ, "At this point in time, we cannot have any idea who was or wasn't wearing their seat belt on the plane."

Mays was one of the passengers aboard a plane that landed roughly at Tampa Airport yesterday. He told a local FOX affiliate he was hit on the head by falling items.

FAA -- Billy Wasn't Wearing a Seat Belt on Plane

The FAA is already deflecting blame for the death of Billy Mays -- claiming the legendary TV pitchman wasn't wearing a seat belt when he took a shot to the head during a rough landing on a flight he was on yesterday.

Here's what we know -- Billy Mays was aboard US Airways Flight 1241 flying from Philadelphia, which landed roughly when the front tire blew out as it touched down. After the flight, Billy told FOX 13 in Tampa that something struck him in the head -- here's Billy's actual quote:

"All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."

We called the FAA for comment, and a spokesperson told us, "The passenger needs to wear a seat belt during landing and he didn't."

A spokesperson for US Airways did not want to comment until more information comes to light.

Billy posted about it last on his Twitter last night, saying, "Just had a close call landing in Tampa. The tires blew out upon landing. Stuck in the plane on the runway. You can always count on US Air."

Yeah it does....our bathroom sink sprung a leak in the pipe under the sink. We used Mighty Putty to seal the hole and it worked like a champ.
