Interesting read.

The president is taking a nosedive in the polls.
Averages from Pollster.com (http://www.pollster.com/polls/us/jobapproval-obama.php) and RealClearPolitics.com (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_obama_job_approval-1044.html#polls) illustrate a dramatic decline in his approval rating and and an increase in disapproval marks. Among independent voters (http://www.pollster.com/polls/us/jobapproval-obama-inds.php), the two lines are converging. In Rasmussen (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll) and Zogby (http://zogby.com/news/ReadNews.cfm?ID=1726), the two trend lines for all voters already have crossed.

As Sam Youngman (http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/analysis-july-has-been-disaster-for-obama-hill-dems-2009-07-27.html) reported, the last month has been the worst of Obama’s presidency:

The Obama administration, which was flying high a month ago after pushing through a climate change bill in the House, has since been dealt a series of setbacks and is struggling to regain its footing.

After the climate bill passed 219-212 on the afternoon of June 26, there was a feeling that the White House could get much of its agenda through Congress in 2009.

A month later, there are doubts that President Obama will even achieve his number one priority of health care reform, much less cap and trade, immigration reform, and a regulatory revamp of the financial sector.
There are two explanations — the economy or something more systemic. Ben Stein (http://spectator.org/archives/2009/07/24/weve-figured-him-out) thinks it is the latter:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith. … Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, way beyond naïveté, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.
There is significant support for this theory. Polls (http://www.commentarymagazine.com/blogs/index.php/rubin/74201) show the public thinks Obama is spending too much and taking on too much power. It is not hard to conclude that Obama has been caught trying to pull off a bait and switch — he ran as a moderate and is governing as a left-winger. With ample evidence that they have been conned, the voters are now registering their disapproval.

Obama also had the luck of being blessed with good timing. A year before the election McCain's campaign was stalled and taking on water. For all intents and purposes, it was dead. Somehow it got resurected. I can't believe that the charismatic Barry Obambi ran against the charisma repellant campaign of McCain.

As I destroy another claim by the CU

My LINKS say a 3 cent tax is what is proposed.

The Senate Finance Committee today is hearing proposals on how to pay for President Obama's proposed universal health care plan, which is expected to cost more than $1 trillion. Among the proposals, as Consumer Affairs reports: A three-cent tax on sodas as well as other sugary drinks, including energy and sports drinks like Gatorade. Diet sodas would be exempt.

But hey, If Rush says 229% ...then he must be right.

You have to wonder what the results of an election would be today. But we still don't have a candidate ready!

It is both him and his idiotic supporters like satty. They don't know their asses from a hole in the ground yet they swear they are the most intelligent beings in the history of the world.

The smack-down that is coming will be so sweet. I cannot wait until his approval ratings dip below 30% and congress is turned over to some CONSERVATIVE Republicans.

I think it's going to be much more difficult than that .These bastard aren't planning on leaving office any time soon !

If they can piss off enough people to cause an uprising and declare Marshal Law they win.On thinking about it a little more they can fake an uprising and still declare Marshal Law !

First thing they will do is to forgo any elections and empower ATF,DEA and Mobilize ACORN as a paramilitary force over the police and the Military in America.

Next region by region beginning in the South start with three man swat teams from ATF ,and snipers from HRT and Acorn goons go door to door collecting the guns .

We have seen how they operated in Branch Davidian and Ruby Ridge and the swat team for that little Cubano kid in Florida so we know what to expect .

The most dangerous man in America isn't Obama it's Rahm Emanuel, Soros's agent !

More bad news for the Zero.

The polls just don't like him any more.

Obama's Ratings Slide Across the Board

The Economy, Health Care Reform and Gates Grease the Skids

Barack Obama’s approval ratings have suffered major declines. The president’s overall job approval number fell from 61% in mid-June to 54% currently. His approval ratings for handling the economy and the federal budget deficit have also fallen sharply, tumbling to 38% and 32%, respectively. Majorities now say they disapprove of the way the president is handling these two issues. The new poll also finds significant declines over the last few months in the percentage of Americans giving Obama high marks for dealing with health care, foreign policy and tax policy.

Three factors have likely contributed to more negative views of Obama. First, criticisms of the government’s economic policies are mounting. For the first time since Obama took office, as many say the government is on the wrong track (48%) as on the right track (46%) in handling the nation’s economic problems. In May, 53% said the government was on the right track on the economy, while 39% said it was on the wrong track.

http://people-press.org/reports/images/532-2.gifSecondly, the latest national survey by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, conducted July 22-26 among 1,506 adults reached on landlines and cell phones, finds that many of the health care proposals being debated in Congress are sparking negative reactions, especially from those following the debate most closely. By a 44% to 38% margin, more Americans generally oppose than favor the health care proposals now before Congress. Opposition rises to 56% among people who say they have heard a lot about legislation to overhaul the health care system. Concerns about the costs and increased government involvement in the health care system are volunteered most often by Americans critical of the health care proposals.

Thirdly, Obama’s comments on the arrest of Henry Louis Gates Jr. appear to have played some role in his ratings decline. News about the arrest of the prominent African American Harvard professor at his Cambridge home was widely followed by the public and 79% are aware of Obama’s comments on the incident. Analysis of the poll data found that the president’s approval ratings fell among non-Hispanic whites over the course of the interviewing period as the focus of the Gates story shifted from details about the incident to Obama’s remarks about the incident1. Interviews Wednesday and Thursday of last week found 53% of whites approving of Obama’s job performance. This slipped to 46% among whites interviewed Friday through Sunday as the Gates story played out across the nation.

Man they are not getting better for 0

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 28% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12. That’s the lowest rating yet recorded for President Obama (see trends (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/obama_approval_index_history)).

Forty-nine percent (49%) now say that America’s best days have come and gone (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/america_s_best_days).Just 38% believe they are still to come. Thirty-four percent (34%) say the country is heading in the right direction (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/right_direction_or_wrong_track). Seventy-five percent (75%) want the Federal Reserve to be audited (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/business/general_business/july_2009/75_favor_auditing_the_fed).
