View Full Version : Rabinowitz on the "tone deaf" president

Good editorial by Dorothy Rabinowitz in the WSJ this morning.

"The president has a problem. For, despite a great election victory, Mr. Obama, it becomes ever clearer, knows little about Americans. He knows the crowds—he is at home with those. He is a stranger to the country’s heart and character.

He seems unable to grasp what runs counter to its nature. That Americans don’t take well, for instance, to bullying, especially of the moralizing kind, implicit in those speeches on health care for everybody. Neither do they wish to be taken where they don’t know they want to go and being told it’s good for them."

Obummer like most politicians has surrounded himself with like minded people. Therefore, they think that their way is the only way. Compromise is not in the DNA of many politicians. Chicago styled politicians that use strong arm tactics will not work. He has also hired a number of journalist to work in his administration. The Obummer is starting to see that Americans do not like things crammed down our throats. The stimulus was a gotta have and unless it was passed the economy would go to held in a hand basket. TARP was another dire prediction. I guess the 3rd is not the charm for the O. Our health involves life and death issues, and that is certainly not something that we want the government meddling in. The O and the Democrats are too stupid to understand that.

Part of the O Blah Blah problem is he has surrounded himself with weak kneed lemmings and Borgs. He has also sold out to a minority view of the world.

He is too much in love with himself to admit he is wrong. He would rather coerce Americans into doing what he believes is best for us in spite of and over our objections. He reveals his dark side with every speech he makes. Just listen to his remarks in Canada. He is as one poster has on his sig line: OneBigAssedMistakeAmerica.
