Thank You, Democratic Underground
It is times like these, more than any others, that I value my friendships at DU. Some of you I feel I "know," some I know only by your username, but this weekend has been special sharing it with DU.

Watching the coverage since the death Of Senator Kennedy, I found myself turning time and time again to DU. I suppose it's because I knew I would be understood in my grief; a commonality that is shared across this board.

Sorry - not to get too cornball on you - but THANK YOU, DU. The last few days have been so much easier sharing it with those I knew would understand the depth of grief we all felt.

Democratic Underground: It's a great community. Thank you!

12. Yeah, couldn't agree more. It helped. These have been a very glum few days for me.
I've spent the last two crying off and on all day over the coverage and the recollections and the images. It's awfully hard to be a liberal and lose a Kennedy. Ouch. Pierces to the heart.
Get over it you pathetic bunch of losers. Another evil man will come along. The party is full of them.

I spent exactly zero time watching this event. Don't these people ever get outside?

I picked up some very elderly friends of ours to bring them to the house for dinner, and the wife immediately started going on about how beautiful the funeral was... I told her that the ceremony was beautiful, and that little bit of agreeing with her satisfied her enough that she moved on.. (I hadn't watched a second of it)

Can't, Don't, and won't watch a single second of it. He sold out the Kennedy legacy (such as it was) to a socialist agenda. The liberals can cry all they want but a socialist is now gone from our Senate. The Senate may not improve given the crappy voting history of Taxachusettes, but it cannot possibly get worse than Kennedy (since O Blah Blah is not a choice).

Just for the record, I don't ever feel that I "know" any of you. I'm not that deluded or mentally and emotionally challenged.
