but know that it can't be made because it is either too politically incorrect or do to the fact that Hollywood would fuck it up?

"Stranger in a Strange Land" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stranger_in_a_Strange_Land) is way to complicated for any filmmaker to come close to getting right. Hell, it took three movies for the "Lord of The Rings" trilogy and look at how much they had to edit out.

Also, any of the excellent books by Vince Flynn (http://www.vinceflynn.com/) couldn't get made today. It shows Americans acting like they should.

Hollywood could mess up an orgy with hot porn stars.

The best things coming out right now seem to be on cable. True Blood and Dexter are the best series to be produced in years, both based on book series.

Another great series on cable was Battlestar Galactica. It was about as un-hollywood as you could get.

What books would I love to see made into a movie. I don't know. It seems that the books I would like to see made into movies are too epic for just a movie. I liked the Battlestar Galactica concept that Moore had. Tell a story over four or five seasons. If done like that, the books that could be made into movies increase greatly. Just think if Lord of the Rings had been made into a series over four or five seasons with the same production values.

One series of books I would love to see made into about a 100 episode series on TV is Harry Turtledove's epic War in the Balance series. If someone could convince Michael Rhymer and Ronald D. Moore to take on thisa project like they took on Battlestar Galactica I would overjoyed.

As a Warhammer 40,000 player, the books I would love to see made into movie would be the Space Wolf series of books or the Gaunt's Ghosts series....both are excellent reads and convey the feel of the 40k universe really well to the reader.

I'd like to see HBO make a miniseries out of Anne Rice's The Witching Hour. Not the sequels, though, they suck. And, they'd have to change the ending so that the ghost is either kept in ghost form or killed.

Still, the only way it could be made would be a mini-series on a cable channel that doesn't care about censorship of any kind. Erotic, multi-generational incest is not for network television, but after seeing the True Blood orgy scenes, I have faith that nothing is too perverse for HBO.

I think it would be easier to do the Gaunt's Ghosts but who wouldn't want to see a movie about 8' tall super Vikings in power armor...especially with the new Space Wolf codex coming out in October.

How about a good version of 'I am Legend' that follows the book instead of completely rapes it..

There has been plans in the works for a Repairman Jack movie, that and a Mitch Rapp movie! I'd spend money to see either one. My only problem is who would play the main parts?!?
For Mitch Rapp, i would say Gerald Butler or Hugh Jackman, for Jack, I would think maybe Clive owen?
