Linda, they are cute. But cockers are cuter.:D What kind of disposition do they have? Have you ever owned one?

OK, the real things. Here's my daughter and my sweet male cat named Monkey. He is terrified of storms and very gentle. She goes off to college in about 6 weeks.

This is my totally insane black cat named Pepper sitting on my messy desk with the obligatory Sonic cup. She is untrustworthy and I love her to death. go figure.

Clumbers are gun dogs; they are the largest of the spaniels (males are around 70-80 lbs.) They are love hogs, but they do shed and drool. I've never owned one, and would have to really visit with some to get a feel for them. I've only known one in person, and have mostly seen them at kennel clubs and dog shows. They are more popular in Britain than here; there are only about 1500 Clumbers in the US right now.

Our cat not only chases them but she catches them and then eats them. There isn't a day go by that I don't have to pick up the remains of a half eaten lizard somewhere in my house.

Berners are soooo sweet, and soooo big. We know one named Bailey, who weighs well over a hundred pounds. Their fur is like silk. They also like to join a conversation. When you're talking with friends, they'll put their two cents in... "mmmrwwrrrrOOOmmmwwwrr", in a low talkative tone. It's so funny.

That talking dog stuff is way too cute. I actually haven't been up close and personal with a berner, I've just heard a lot of good things about the breed and I love the way they look.

This is our Auggie. The pic was taken last summer. She is now 12&1/2 years old and holding her own considering she had her spleen removed and is living with liver cancer. So every day 'counts'.

Why thank you. We think she's lovely too. But to tell the truth, she is just your 'garden variety' pet quality black Labrador - nothing 'special', yet she is the center of out little domestic world.
