I never really thought about it when I booked the reservation, but for some reason today I was wondering if it was bad ju-ju to fly on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
I only think about these things now that I have a son at home... and his 1st birthday is the 18th of this month.
Am I being goofy worrying about it? I think I am... would you fly on 9/11?

I have, too, and it was nice! The airports were pretty empty.. :) Leave the bad ju-ju to everyone else-they'll stay home and mke your flight more enjoyable.

I hate flying on planes. If my destination is east of the Rockies, I'm driving there or taking Amtrak.
I hate flying on any day, though. If I had to fly on 9-11, I would. I just don't ever really need to fly, because I don't have enough money to travel to the west coast or overseas.

It does. I hate it and my company doesn't pay for anything more than coach. So I have to get there early and hope I get an exit row seat. Sometimes I'm lucky, other times I'm not.
This is a 4 hour flight too...

How creepy is that?
I wouldn't book a flight on that date, myself. I'm not superstitious and I don't believe in bad luck but it's an extremely significant date for me. I would feel funny successfully completing my flight on that date when so many others didn't.

LOL, poor guy was scared to death. :p
I had an interesting flight today, just as we were starting to descend all of a sudden we started to go straight up into the air. The pilot said that he rec'd a warning that there was another plane in the area.
