I think her problem is that she doesn't have either professional advice or a close girlfriend to tell her what does and doesn't suite her. She could get away with the cardigan/blouse combination, but the two belts and the disastrous skirt do her no favours.

I don't think she's taking her fashion sense from the "hood". I think she's taking it from celebutard sources.

You can wear two belts and a busy skirt if you are 22 and a size 4 but not otherwise. She has worn outfits that were imaginative yet dignified and appropriate. She's just not consistent in terms of style.

It's a shame, I'd wager she's a laughing stock on the global
political circuit. If she can't look into a mirror and figure out she
looks like a cheap reject from Tuesday Morning or some other
place like Target she needs to have a "Fashion Czar" that will
try and protect the First Lady's Image.
