Despite its own low poll numbers, Congress is, apparently, doing something right in the eyes of voters.

The public agrees with a move by both the House and Senate to cut of federal funding for the scandal-ridden community activist group ACORN, a new poll has found.Rasmussen Reports conducted a national telephone survey that found 51 percent of U.S. voters believe Congress should end all federal funding while just 17 percent want taxpayers to continue to pay for the group.

The survey found that ACORN is viewed unfavorably by 67 percent of those surveyed and is viewed somewhat favorably by just 15 percent.

The House voted Thursday to end federal funding for ACORN. while the Senate earlier in the week voted prevent the Housing and Urban Development Department from proving grants to the group, whose employees were filmed providing tax and housing help to people posing as pimps and prostitutes.
