Love the little "Kill Me" icon.

Mine's yahoo. Usually see some dumb "news" story I don't care about, laugh at it, check email, and move on to more important site, like here.

I'll think I'll change it to a site where people always finish like, next to last in stuff. PM me all your good ones.

Just Google. When I replace my system next month, I'll give some thought to Opera or something else. Google is getting too biased for me. I don't really need much out of a home page, anyway. I get my news, weather, email, or whatever as I want it and when I want it. None of that is "default" for me.

Yahoo is one of my email accounts, so it just makes it a little quicker to start there. I'm thinking of changing my home page to Second Life. :D

Opera is not just a web page it is a browser. I have been using it for 8 years It will make you much safer from viruses and is easy to use.

Exactly. I'm changing everything next month. I'm shedding my old Internet ways and reinventing my user habits. ;)

On a few rare occasions you will have to use explorer, like Microsoft update. Also you will have to install a spell checker but it is free.

My Explorer has been sitting in the front yard on jack stands for the past three years.

I'm pretty sure I'm going with Apple this time. They are set to release a new version of Mac next month so the "old" systems will be discounted. I don't think I need PC-based anything now. I've radically reordered my home usage already.

A lot of experts say that for home use apple is unbeatable. I don't think you can go wrong that way. If you do that consider a 17 inch notebook (actually they are desktop replacement, a bit big for lap) .

That's what I'm looking at. They would replace the workstation stuff entirely. I really don't need to drag a laptop around with me on a daily basis (I can borrow any one I like from work at any time) but it would be convenient to move a notebook from room to room (or outside) here at home.

And I saw that snotty fatness comment. Luckily, I'm not insecure in that area like some people I could mention. :p

The comment had nothing to do with you in the first place. :p

Any trip through a Wal Mart will show you that many could hold a 57" monitor on their lap and still have room for soda & chips!
