Rainy and cool on The Mountain. We've had close to 15 inches of rain in the last week. Really dreadful flooding around Atlanta and the present rain doesn't help matters.

I'm kinda tired. My grandmother, age 88, is in the hospital. She had to be transported from our local hospital to a regional medical center. Not doing too well. Miz Bubba and I have spent a good bit of time driving from The Mountain to Gainesville and back, and waiting at the hospital, for the last three days. It's tiring.

To top it off, our power has been off for the last few hours. It came back on about an hour ago. NICE.

It's still raining so I'm going to go ahead and post the Sunday thread a few minutes early in case we lose the power again.

Forever in Blue Jeans....

I love Blue Jeans. I'd wear them all the time if I could.

TOTD: Blue Jeans. Do you wear them? If so, what brand and style would be your favorite?

Or, Maybe you like some other style of casual trousers. There are those females who like to wear pedal pushers, for instance. I think they are called clam-diggers in Colorado.

If you prefer some other style, just mention it.

What casual fashion do you enjoy?

Thanks.

I grew up in an extended family...my grandparents and my parents in the same household.

My grandmother was always there in my life. Very special.

It really is a treasure to be involved, in a day to day way, in the life of a whole other generation. The things you learn are really invaluable.

It's almost midnight.

I have to agree. My parents and my gramps lived a long life. I will say a prayer for your grandmother.

The weather here has been great. 4 more days at the beach and then I have to go back home. Boo.

I am being lazy this morning. I have to get my nails done and get home in time to watch my Fins lose.

TOTD: I like jeans and capris. All of my jeans are boot cut. I just prefer that style. I normally buy my jeans at Old Navy. My capris are mostly Dockers that I buy at Beall's.

Does anyone call jeans dungarees?

Ever hear it? A friend of mine, in his sixties, calls blue jeans dungarees. Weird.

I like jeans, but for casual wear I prefer leggings - comfortable and much more flexible.

You can buy Lee Dungarees Carpenter Jeans at JC Penny & other places.

It's still 100 outside and I've been outside all day. A couple hours in the pool & a few hours working on a set of cables & batteries in a golf cart. My back now hurts. :)

TOTD: It's rare for me to wear jeans anymore. I have to wear casual or dress pants to work, my older work pants I wear for everyday use around the house when I'm not wearing shorts.

TOTD - I own a couple of pairs of jeans Polo brand not because I'm a snob, but because I like the way that they fit. I PREFER Khakis.

In the summer - it's shorts. In during the working season - it's khakis.

It would have to be someone who wants to see the Pros From Dover scantily clad.

Maybe it is Shannon.

She thinks we're hawt.

Course not. She's got taste, after all.

We're like those male exotic dancers, you know, Clydesdales.

There is a modest amount of spandex involved, but that's all right because I'm a girl.

TOTD: jeans are for cleaning the garage or gardening or fishing or other activities involving grime or guts. I do wear capri pants in the summer and they are pretty cute teamed up with the right top. In the winter for casual wear I'll go with cords, leggings, or wool blend slacks. There's nothing wrong with opaque tights and a skirt, either. ;)
