Krauthammer: "He's got one Republican Olympia Snowe and I credit her I think she's not a cynical person she's serious and sincere and she's actually has read the damn bill and came to a conclusion that it's better than the status quo.

However, she made it very, very clear that she goes along with this, but is quite unlikely to go along with the next versions, remember, this is gonna have to be merged with the bill coming out of the Senate Health Committee which is to it's left, for example it includes a public option which she opposes, she will not vote if a public option is included. "

WASHINGTON - Nobody knew for sure what Senator Olympia J. Snowe would do yesterday when the Finance Committee gathered to vote on its health care bill - not even Snowe.

Chairman Max Baucus, Democrat of Montana, had been courting her vote for months, investing long hours in closed-door negotiations with her and the other members of the “Gang of Six.’’

In the late summer and early fall, President Obama spoke with her on the phone and invited her to the White House to address her concerns.

I wouldn't count on Obama being stung by Olympia Snowe. If there's ever a RINO, it's Senator Snowe.

Any Repub and any moderate Democrat that votes for a public option will be commiting politicial sucide. The House bill will contain the public option in all probably. The Senate bill will not be able to muster 60 votes with the P.O. in it. She will vote against the comprimise bill because it will contain the P.O. Krauthammer is correct in his prediction.
