It's blatantly obvious that these people don't give a flip about us or what we think or want. And the notion that they are doing what they think is best is bullshit too. They are power hungry and are doing whatever it takes to stay in power. One of the big reasons the Democrats obtain power is because a lot of Republican and right leaning voters tend to not vote for one reason or another. Democrats are good at rallying their base and getting theirs out to vote. However, according to some polls, this country is still right to center right in it's political beliefs and I believe all of this crap that is getting crammed down our throats is going to come back to haunt them. Obama is already being proven a pathological liar at every turn and this doesn't sit well with many voters and I believe it will show in 2010 and again in 2012. We'll get a good idea where things are going in a few weeks with the governors races in NJ and Virginia. If these do indeed go Republican, it will be a tremendous shot in the arm to the GOP and a kick in the ass to the Dems.

Boy oh boy, do you got that right! They need to get out of our faces! I think that the Constitution and Bill Of Rights should by law be put on the front page of every newspaper on every Sunday. It should be displayed in every classroom, courthouse and every public building. All critters in government should have to pass a basic American history test. Maybe then we will see a change.

Just having a R beat out a D in these races will not help. Most of the R's are just little d's. We need term limits and let these whacko have to come out of thier safe havens and actually live under the preposturous crap they enact!

Reality check, We are in for a rude awakening the socialists are digging in. The so called blue dogs are more afraid of the powers that be than they are of us. 2010 may be to late to turn it around. They are building a Chavez like communist state.

I actually of the belief that term limits would be counter productive because none is more dangerous than a man with nothing to lose.

Term limits are part of the reason the Michigan legislature is so screwed up. It's beyond partisanship.

Why risk term limits? Tar and feather, now that's the ticket.

That would be the minimum sentence. Most of these fools are guilty of high treason!

i think term limits on the National Congressional Level would help termendously, expecially in the House, you wont have people like sitting in their comffy little districts getting reelected for 20-40 years. put a 5 term limit (11 years total incase the seat has to be filled) on the house and 3-4 (15-27 years MAX) term limit on the Senate and you wont have nearly the problems you have now. I don't have an issue with anyone that eligible to run running, but just can't stay in office for so long, you lose track of what is important and how your laws effect the general population.

maybe what it's going to take is for us to take to the streets - preferably the streets of DC.
