When is the election?

Smart money is on May 6th, but it could be called at any time of the Prime Minister's choosing (as long as it is held before the beginning of June 2010) with a minimum of 6 weeks between calling the election an holding it. We don't go in for long drawn out campaigns.

Yaaaay !!!!!

Can we import a couple of million conversatives to vote in our elections to counter the dead and multiple votes that Acorn digs up? We could send a couple million over there when needed. Kinda a swap program.

A British conservative is the equivalent of an American liberal, and support most of the things the Democratic Party platform stands for. Your plan wouldn't work.

And as a sidenote, Obama is a lot closer personally to Dave Cameron than he is to Gordon Brown. Best of luck to the Tories.

Yes of course all of us would support the Dems!

As a response to your side note

You need to do more research on Anglo-American Conservatism my friend. Although it is true in terms of social issues that the Conservative party has come towards the center, thats generally where it ends. Still many a Thatcherite around.
