We returned fro the gym about an hour ago, just relaxing. Had a late light dinner of Italian salmon patties from the seafood section of our local Schnuck's grocery.

Got off the phone with my sister. She and her hubby are building a new house. They sold their existing house and the new place won't be ready in time, so she's bringing some of her small antiques for safekeeping at our house tomorrow morning.

I just got finished doing some seasonal cleaning/decorating. I had a huge lunch with the BFF so no dinner for me (I almost never cook on Friday nights - it's a marriage rule with me).

I got my car out of the shop (don't ask) and rescued some drying pumpkins that were under attack by squirrels. It may be time to rethink my nonlethal position on this situation. I also vetoed Saw VI for the weekend movie experience but I'm open to Halloweenish suggestions.

I had an ok week, nothing unusual. Except the store manager got an @$$ chewing for being such an arrogant prick.... :D

Shiner Bock....Don't bother with Butt Light Wheat Beer, which I bought for poker night, last night. YUCK!

Ate chicken-fried steak for supper, mashed potatoes with cream cheese and chives and pea salad.

Avoiding? :o Death! :p

I live in the epicenter of American beer production (both commercial and craft). You can't open up a garage door or get a grilled cheese sandwich in this state without being offered a microbrew.

I'm drinking a SA Harvest. I'm considering buying a case of Blackened Voodoo for Halloween now that Dixie is back in business. :D

SISTERS weekend!!! I am at the beach house, on the bay in Bethany Beach, DE with my 3 sisters. Got the music playing, and all of the windows open. Thursday and Friday and today were beautiful.. mid 70 degrees with no rain. I did a fair amount of bike riding.. saw a wild turkey in a wooded area on my bike ride. We took walks on the beach, I rode bike to the bay and did some crabbing but couldn't find it in my heart to kill the things, (they were LOOKING at me and making eye contact!!) so I put them back.

We are enjoying the sea breeze, and will be hopping in the hot tub again before the night is over.

I tried a new beer in honor of my son, who is playing pro vball in Falkenberg Sweden. Carlsberg beer is very popular where he is, and they have a brewery near him. I couldnt find any in my area so I was happy to find it here. It is really good.

We tried shots last night. Equal parts Citron Vodka and Frangelica Liqueur. Suck on a slice of lemons sprinkled with sugar. Tastes just like chocolate cake!

Last night pictures were taken that were best deleted.. haha. We have been considering "sisters tattoos" for some years now. While I really really dislike the idea of tats for myself , this is something I would consider if my sisters would design something that was meaningful, rather than some celtic symbol of "sisters". I think 4 flowers of our birth flowers would be pretty, but none of us are motivated enough to work on any designs.


edited to add.. I got just a bit sunburned today! Not badly because I am still tanned from my near daily doses of Vitamin D.

My daughter, who tends bar, recommended it. It is called "chocolate cake" ! And yes, it does taste like cake... to my amazement.

Prolly along the same lines as Long Island Iced teas actually tasting like Iced tea.. with about a dozen different types of booze in it. Go figure.

I once slept 48 hours straight and woke up in a hospital after downing several hurricanes on a bet. I won!
