Whoops! We don't know a ton about scamming the government for disability pay checks, but here's a handy hint that Ronald Hunt should have followed: if you're gonna try to pull this off, don't let yourself get filmed on television working.

You can't do this and claim disability. (nbcchicago.com)
Which is just what Hunt did. The Los Angeles interior decorator claimed disability, taking in $147,600 in payments in three years. Meanwhile, he was continuing to work as an interior, taking in $400,500 over three years. Ka-ching!

His downfall? Hunt appeared on an HGTV home improvement show, showing off his skills. An employee of a private insurer that was paying out Hunt's disability saw the show, and the jig was up. Hunt pleaded guilty today to two counts of fraud. He'll have to pay $151,700 restitution to the insurance company, another $31,000 to California Franchise Tax Board, and do 200 hours of community service and 60 months of probation.Fraud, ur doing it wrong. :D (http://www.zimbio.com/Ronald+Hunt/articles/MV5kz5ZNUrs/Ronald+Hunt+Caught+HGTV+Working+After+Claiming)
