In parts of North America tonight it is possible to see the International Space Station and the Space Shuttle about 1 minute apart. Both are likely to be visible at the same time. Kinda cool.

Use the link to find your state and the nearest town/city. It gives the times and the directions and angles.

Weather is supposed to be clearing up here in St. Louis soon, but maybe not soon enough to be able to see it.

Cool and windy here. No clouds now but that could change.

I remember waiting for a lunar eclipse once. Literally five minutes before the eclipse was to occur, a HUGE cloud bank rolled in and obscured everything.

This is the first time I've seen them in tandem like this. Cool Beans.

It was not quite a minute after the ISS appeared that the Shuttle appeared on the same course. They were very bright probably because of the bright moon.

Really exciting.

Yeah, when I saw them they had just detached and it looked like a couple of fighter jets shooting across the sky. As you said, they were very bright.
