Mr. Snaps has every tool or gizmo known to man. He just buys what he likes. He doesn't follow sports, has every DVD he wants, and dislikes guy jewelry.

Ideas? No "this coupon good for monkey sex" type of thing - I can do that myself.

A police scanner or a ham radio. They eased up on getting a license and there are some really nice portables out there that would fit in a stocking.

May I suggest a Remington model 870 shot gun, it is the most up gradeable shotgun on the market. You can get a basic sporter model for around $300.00 and build from there. I get my parts from www.brownells.com they aren't the cheapest but they are the most reliable I have dealt with.

Shotties aren't stocking stuffers; besides he's covered there (hah, hah!). Nose hair appliances are covered. No sports. No coffin nails or coffin nail analogs (he's pure as the driven snow in Hell).

You begin to see how hard this is?

He enjoys a frosty adult beverage now and then. He buys that himself (hence, the beer fridge). He eschews both coffee and tea (except sun tea in the summer).

He's like an Eagle Scout except much more sexual. :p

glasses are nice - but they're only half the battle. You need a set of Whiskey stones too. :) That way your booze stays cold without getting watered down:cool:

Damn your computer-like memory! Yes, I did post this last year and the year before that! I don't remember what I decided on last year but it was terrific, whatever it was.

I've made good progress already today. I'm now back home (briefly) awaiting a critical gift-related call from the BFF.

Does he have a good pocketknife, or is his old Boy Scout one worn or rusted out? LL Bean has those for a variety of prices, as does the average local Army Surplus store. LL Bean has a lot of outdoor gadgets for guys who are into that, things my suburbanite mind would never think of. They also have warm clothing-flannel-lined jeans and pants, warm flannel shirts, stuff like that. It's not as expensive as the clientele would have you think, unless you are buying big ticket items or linens.

Does he have a favorite team? You should be able to find all kinds of cheap crap with the logo on it. Playing cards, coasters, water bottles, etc.

Go to Lowes or Home Depot on a Saturday morning and ask one of the male customers what new gadget he would want as a stocking stuffer. Those stores have replaced bars on Saturday mornings for hetero male bonding/escaping the wife and kids.
