Screw the weather. It's nice and comfortable, but really foggy and dreary.
TOTD: Do you prefer White or Colored ...............

I'm so proud of you for staying on top of the Monday thread, Reb.
TOTD: The exterior of the house has only white lights. The tree has colored lights.

It's pretty seasonal today and should be until the end of the week.
TOTD: I have pastel colored icicle lights around the eves. Since a lot of my house is a very light peach stucco, this makes for a nice effect. :)

My answer is exactly the opposite; white on the tree, multicolored outside.

Well, since I'm not a guy and pastels aren't favored my too many lesbos, I guess it's pretty heteronormative. :p

It's freezing rain today, and about 34 degrees.
I don't have outside lights. My tree has colored lights.

My wife is starting to lean towards colored lights for the tree. I told her most folks who hang colored lights leave them up all year long. I like the white lights, they don't look like the inside of the local black juke joint (The Pink Panther in Ashburn).
On a side note, I HATE the recent explosion of inflatable yard decorations. I saw one with Santa Claus driving the Lowes #48.

I thought about spray painting my sister in law snow white and shoving a carrot up her nose. She would make a great frosty the snow man for the front yard!

Hey, take it up with him. The only "honor" I have to defend on this board is my own. Besides, the peach house makes his wife happy and that gets him a lot of happy endings, if you know what I mean. :D

No more or less tacky than the damnable icicle lights.

I remember all too well. Wire, fake animated, light-up Charismatic Mega Fauna are exquisitely tasteful as long you refrain from adding the highly attractive red "blood lights". I wrestle with this idea every year. :o

TOTD: I prefer colored lights outside, but they all look nice. (in most cases) On the tree white is nice, or one single color, like all blue, etc.
I hope everyone is using Energy Star LED lights this year.

I hate those, too. I prefer the light-up, hard plastic figures-they may be tacky, too, but they are tacky in a classic way, which makes them "camp".
My neighbors finally fixed their giant, inflatable snowman, which was leaning over and looking drunk a few days ago. The wicker animals and trees seem pretty popular in my area, this year. I'd hang lights on my porch, but I don't have an outdoor electrical outlet.

I think the outdoor inflatable stuff looks better with snow on the ground, when it's 60 outsdie, not so much. :D
