The House has voted to level off the abrupt spikes in volume felt by television viewers during commercial breaks.

The bill _ approved by a voice vote _ is aimed at stopping TV ads from playing noticeably louder than programs.

Supporters say the measure would alleviate a common irritation that leads consumers to scramble for the mute button as they watch their favorite shows. ... http://townhall.com/news/politics-elections/2009/12/15/house_votes_to_turn_down_volume_of_noisy_tv_ads

Yeah, but....I LOVE THIS LEGISLATION!!!!!

I hope it passes. I hate commercials that are louder than the show I'm watching.
