The Waffle House? You've got to be kidding me. You'd think that a Mayor could do better than the Waffle House! He probably would have pulled this off if he had gone to Denny's

Your ignorance is showing. :p Pittsburgh is one of the worlds truly beautiful cities - a hub of world class culture and education - a city of CHAMPIONS - and has repeatedly landed in the top spot on the most livable cities list.

I've been to Pittsburgh and wasn't impressed by the crown jewel of the rust belt. You ever been to Dothan? Birmingham? Alabama's beaches? Ever played golf on Robert Trent Jones golf trail? Or are you just talking out of your ass?

Lower cost of living (property taxes, etc) ; happier people ====better quality of life. AL ranks #9, PA 41st. Plus, I don't know any retires moving north. Since AL is a right to work state ---NO UNION SCHOOL TEACHERS

We're more than happy to have them move south to you guys :) OKAY - you've got a plus there with the school teachers. As for cost of living - Pittsburgh has a very low cost of living and we have the same level of pay as the rest of the state ;)

Not even close when it comes to yearly property taxes. $52 on $135k house (frozen for old farts), $79 on 40 acres of farmland & $337 on a rent house. State retirement pension taxed at zero. Energy costs are lower here.
