Brown raises $750k and nearing $1 mil.

They started the day asking for $500,000; they crossed that line a little after 4 p.m. ET

Decided to go to $750k, blew by that at 6:45 ET. Now they are pushing for $1 mil. raised in one single day in Mass. A deep blue state.

Two interesting footnotes about the state of play right now. First, an aide from the DNC is headed to Massachusetts (http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0110/DNC_sends_senior_aide_to_Boston.html) to lend Coakley a hand, but 0 is not going in.

Second, much more mysteriously, why are Democrats leaking internal polls showing Coakley with a big lead (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0110/31352.html)?

He did it! He has in one day raised double the amount he set out to raise in one day. Over $1 mil. in cash for his campaign. If Brown does this well in raising cash in a deep blue state, it should show he should pick up the seat.
