63 F | 52 F We get another preview of spring today, I'll enjoy it while it lasts. I've been getting calls day and night from Leonard Mountain to pull vehicles out of the mud with the dozer, so far 3 trucks and one road grader. If you get a road grader stuck it's a bitch to get out!

TOTD: Keep your fingers crossed for the Massachusetts election today and pray if you are so inclined. What election other than the last presidential election have you been the most disappointed in since you started voting?

Supposed to get in the 70's the next couple of days.

TOTD: I have never prayed for a politician; I will not start now but will keep my fingers crossed for Brown to pull it out . I am disappointed in almost every election that a Democrat winds up winning. It almost like the only good Democrat is a dead one.:rolleyes:

Maybe we do need to legalize pot Lacarut, then maybe they would all sit around and stay stoned and keep out of politics. I had this strange hope in the early 90s when Rush started out that our politicians on both sides were going to get some common sense and we could really start seeing prosperity without the government beating us back down all the time. Boy was I wrong!

It's clear and cold here with a slight chance of snow. The entire week looks pretty much like winter. :(

TOTD: I was pretty disappointed when Ritter got in. It was one thing for Denver/Boulder to consistently vote Dem but electing a Dem governor was hard to take.

When you get back, tell us how the turnout was!

Linda, it does not look good for Scott Brown.. The turnout today was the most I've seen in my 5 years of living in this town.. There was actually a line, and that never happens! I live in a town of only 10,000 people, so you usually just walk right up to your precinct table and get your ballot, but not today..

And since Republicans in MA are so outnumbered (about 6%), our only hope was low voter turnout.. Well, it's not turning out to be low voter turnout, even with the falling snow..

Well, my wife and I canceled out two Liberal votes, anyway.. Now we just have to keep our fingers crossed..

Keep the faith. The large turnout is because of all those pissed off teabaggers voting for Brown.

Rainy & cool here, highs only in the 50s and wind to pick up later.

I have a sinus infection, good times!

Those smoke filled casino's do not help. I used to have sinus and allergy infections on a regular basis. Took shots for 2 years and that cured my problems.

Fox's Carl Cameron reckons that the high turnout will benefit Brown. Hope he's right.

That's too Middle-Eastern.. How about just requiring a valid ID? Politicians won't support this at all!! I'm just blown away that they don't require an ID.

In Louisiana you have to show your driver's lic.; we use electronic machines (no paper ballots).

You are right about the smoke. A couple of them have "smoke free areas" but you have to pretty much walk through smoke to get to that part...that inlcudes some of the casinos resturants that are in the back of the building... I make sure I use my nasal rinse, zyrtec & allergy eye drops before and after any casino visit. But the smoke is not enough to keep me home, it's more fun to chase cocktail watiresses, bartenders and pole dancers. :D

We went for a long time without rain, and now we are getting more rain then we had all last year in two weeks! I have a mold allergy that is triggered by rain and normally it's not an issue in Nevada.

Stupid 25 MPH winds dont help either........

I seen two doctors today, they took blood and x-rays. I guess I look worse then I feel...

I am allergic to mold, dust, etc. My allergist concocted a serum batch; my insurance paid for the shots I took twice a week for 2 years. The only downside is that you are supposed to wait 30min. afterwards to see if you have a reaction. The shots worked miracles for me. The nose surgery did not help that much. My sinus/allergy got so bad that the antibiotics were not that effective.

I buy raw honey that is collected within 15 miles of my house, they say it helps you build immunity to pollens. either it helps or it was all in my head in the first place. Of course it will do nothing for mold allergies!
