Thats what I was thinking.

And did I miss something, or did they just stop playing Pinball Wizard in the middle of the song?

Over the last few years they've had Paul McCartney and John Fogerty so The Who isn't much of a stretch.

I'd still take The Who over crap like Janet Jackson anyday.

Since the Janet Jackson incident, the half time shows have been:

Paul McCartany
The Rolling Stones
Prince
Tom Petty
Bruce Springsteen
The Who

And according to Wiki, Tina Turner is scheduled for next year. How scary is this: Prince is the youngest of the bunch.

Tina Turner??? Geez!! I'd love to see some Country stars perform. Hank Williams Jr would be good.

Skipped most of the half time show to watch poker tourney.

Never a big fan of the Who. The Denny's chicken commercial was a good cackler. .

They're saying another five to ten inches tomorrow, on top of what we got over the weekend. I just need Dulles airport to be open by Friday night.

I was not the only person at the particular location where I watched the game who was looking forward to seeing Townsend & Daltrey. Yes, they're old. But their music is still excellent, despite the CSI-CBS bastardazation that has taken place over the past few years

I saw The Who in 1989 (same year I saw the Stones) for what I thought would be the last time ever possible. The SB halftime show is not the perfect venue, but I think they did just fine for a bunch of nearly 70-year olds.
