Apparently the animals in town are trying to learn to cook!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Kay Wardlow said her dog Lucy is a cuddly puppy whose sweet tooth nearly burned down her owner's entire home.

"Lucy was trying to get to a cake on top of the stove," Wardlow said. "Her big paws twisted the knob and turned the gas burner on."

Smoke started burning through the container and filling the Oklahoma home with smoke.

The Wardlows credit the quick thinking of a local ADT security employee with saving their house. David Brown was still in training when he got an alarm call and alerted the Wardlows to the fire burning through their kitchen.

At my house the dogs would just wait for the cat to shove the cake on to the floor. The cat is a real team player.

The owner is a stupid cow for putting it on the stove. This is one of those things that the insurance company should say piss off your own stupid fault pay for it yourself. It always amazes me that the insurance companies will pay out for sheer stupididity but not for acts of God.

It's not the dogs fault though that the owner is an ass and has not properly trained the animal - nor is it the dogs fault that they owner was a STUPID ass and rather than putting the cake on the acres of counter space she surly has - placed it on the stove.

Sorry - just annoyed over pending insurance claims where the odds are they will be ruled an act of God and not be covered. :(
