The climate deniers, of course, would probably reject a novel by Ernest Hemingway as great literature if they found a typo on their copy. Likewise, they seize on isolated errors by individual scientists to reject the reality of climate change out of hand. Here is Al Gore putting the current assault on climate change science in perspective:

We Canít Wish Away Climate Change

It would be an enormous relief if the recent attacks on the science of global warming actually indicated that we do not face an unimaginable calamity requiring large-scale, preventive measures to protect human civilization as we know it.

Of course, we would still need to deal with the national security risks of our growing dependence on a global oil market dominated by dwindling reserves in the most unstable region of the world, and the economic risks of sending hundreds of billions of dollars a year overseas in return for that oil. And we would still trail China in the race to develop smart grids, fast trains, solar power, wind, geothermal and other renewable sources of energy ó the most important sources of new jobs in the 21st century.

But what a burden would be lifted! We would no longer have to worry that our grandchildren would one day look back on us as a criminal generation that had selfishly and blithely ignored clear warnings that their fate was in our hands. We could instead celebrate the naysayers who had doggedly persisted in proving that every major National Academy of Sciences report on climate change had simply made a huge mistake.

I, for one, genuinely wish that the climate crisis were an illusion. But unfortunately, the reality of the danger we are courting has not been changed by the discovery of at least two mistakes in the thousands of pages of careful scientific work over the last 22 years by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. In fact, the crisis is still growing because we are continuing to dump 90 million tons of global-warming pollution every 24 hours into the atmosphere ó as if it were an open sewer.

The AGW Religion feels a threat...a chill breeze...and calls on their "hero" to calm da masses.

:D

It's a pretty new one, no major DUmmies comment so far.

"I, for one, genuinely wish that the climate crisis were an illusion."

I find that hard to believe, Al, since you've spent at least the last 4 years making a nice fat living off of the "Climate crisis," and duping hippies into throwing their dope money at you uder the guise of "Carbon Offset credits."

It is true that the climate panel published a flawed overestimate of the melting rate of debris-covered glaciers in the Himalayas, and used information about the Netherlands provided to it by the government, which was later found to be partly inaccurate. In addition, e-mail messages stolen from the University of East Anglia in Britain showed that scientists besieged by an onslaught of hostile, make-work demands from climate skeptics may not have adequately followed the requirements of the British freedom of information law.

But the scientific enterprise will never be completely free of mistakes. What is important is that the overwhelming consensus on global warming remains unchanged.

Translation: We used faulty information to come to our conclusions and we know it. And we tried to cover it all up. But we aren't changing our mind, so it's all good.

Even most AGW alarmists will admit that NOTHING these asshats are proposing by way of legislation will do ANYTHING but ruin the economy.

I read through most of his screed. Not a damn thing new in there. Just regurgitation of bullshit that he's been saying for years. Laying down theory as fact, lying about concensuses, making false accusations against those who would like to see real scientific work conducted.

The mans a sad joke.

I guess reverend Al's hedge fund has taken such a nose dive he figured he better hold a sermon before his investors got pissed.

Three die, thanks to Al Whore's lies. (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1254619/Baby-girl-survives-shot-chest-parents-global-warming-suicide-pact.html?ITO=1490)

A seven-month-old baby girl survived three days alone with a bullet in her chest beside the bodies of her parents and toddler brother.

Argentines Francisco Lotero, 56, and Miriam Coletti, 23, shot their children before killing themselves after making an apparent suicide pact over fears about global warming.

Their son Francisco, two, died instantly after being hit in the back.

But their unnamed daughter cheated death after the bullet from her dad's handgun missed her vital organs.

Paramedics rushed her to hospital covered in blood when police alerted by worried neighbours discovered the massacre three days later.

The youngster is recovering in hospital in the town of Goya in the northern Argentine province of Corrientes, where doctors say she is out of danger.

Her parents said they feared the effects of global warming in a suicide note discovered by police.

Al Whore, and others, lies killed these people!

Poor babies!
