British Muslims are fighting for the Taliban in Afghanistan, a former commander of UK forces has warned.

Brigadier Ed Butler, who spent six months leading servicemen in the Helmand province, said he has seen evidence that Muslims born in the UK are aiding Taliban and Al Qaeda attacks on coalition troops.

The warning from the brigadier, 46, supports evidence earlier this year that RAF Nimrod spyplanes monitoring Taliban radio signals in Afghanistan had heard militants speaking with Yorkshire and Midlands accents.

Sadly this doesn't even vaguely surprise me. Radicalism is pretty advanced in many British cities

Sadly this doesn't even vaguely surprise me. Radicalism is pretty advanced in many British cities :mad:It is not surprising that this is happening because from what I have read there are Muslims in Britain who support the killing and their religious leaders are war mongers.

This is very alarming. It's like allegiance to the nation state no longer exists. That was why the melting pot principle was important.

These guys never had any allegiance to the state. They've immigrated, but not assimilated. One of the really frightening aspects of Britain contemplating the use of Sharia law in disputes between Moslems is that it automatically makes every Moslem, whether he wants to be or not, subject to the rule of the Imams. If a Moslem refuses to settle a dispute under Sharia law, he's guilty of apostasy and under Sharia, he can be murdered with impugnity. That will guarantee that every moderate Moslem will be alienated from the British culture.
