The scene is from a TV movie called LA Takedown. It was written and directed by Michael Mann and aired on NBC on a Sunday night and was seen by about a dozen people. Years later Mann took the same script, virtually unchanged casted some big name actors (Deniro, Pacino, Kilmer, Ashley Judd) a few more millions as far as budget and that TV movie became the masterpiece, Heat.

The investigation of the shootout found that the perpetrators were heavily influenced by the Michael Mann film Heat which was released a few years earlier in 1995.

In the movie, several men battle their way out of a bank robbery using firepower. There have been some reports that a VHS copy of the movie was found in the VCR in one of the gunmen's home. However, this has never been confirmed.

The whole movie is up on You Tube in bits. It is amazingly and would have stood well on it's own though now it is compared to Heat. It is the same movie, just bigger actors and budget is the difference.

Check it out. It's well made, lots of car chases and gunfights. Good story too. Good cast. Jean Reno. Sean Bean. Others.
