It's obviously someone who wants to use the odds and ends in her stash rather than just throwing them away. I never know what to do with them, either.

Meh. The police should pick up a copy of 'Knitter's' sometime. Urban knit graffiti has been around for a few years now. It's performance art. (Or so they say.)
