View Full Version : Morning Drink of Choice?

What do you prefer to drink in the morning after a night of hydrationless sleep?

I myself prefer a hot cup of jasmine tea in the winters, or a bottle of water chased by red bull in the summer.

Sometimes I go through the "coffee pot" stage where I'll drink a cup of coffee every morning for a month straight.
My coffee pot is currently on break, though.

What do you drink?

Coffee. Occasionally I have a cup of hot Earl Grey but more often than not Hawaiian or Colombian coffee

Don't drink coffee, but usually have water first thing, along with a can of "joint juice". It's a mixture of OJ, green tea and glucosamine and coindroitin. It really seems to help the inflammation in the knee.

Don't tell me that's what I have to look forward to in my old age...

Full leaf British breakfast tea. I drink it to wash down two triple strength glucosamine and coindroitin caps and a multivitamin. Good stuff.

If the lord is willing and the creek don't rise, you will get there one day and it's probably not that far off.:)

Absolutely, buy it at Costco. It even tastes good.

And hope FlaGator is running---very, very fast. :o

Cafe au lait. First cup of coffee has to have evaporated milk. No sugar. On the weekend, honey with evaporated milk.

Black after that.

Water. NEVER EVER COFFEE. Can't stand the smell let alone the taste. We don't even keep it in the house.

Black store brand coffee in the winter, tea or milk in the summer.

To tell the truth - I don't care much. If I forget to set the timer for the coffee or the tea, it's no big deal in my life. I'm one of the few people I know who don't need a beverage handy 18 hours out of every day. ;)

I usually down a big glass of water while I'm waiting on the coffee to make.
Then it's coffee the rest of the day.

Ditto. I drink fat-free these days because my blood is the consistency of ski wax, but yeah; milk.

I'll pass on that. Mountain Dew isn't fit to be given to goats.

Ice cold orange juice, followed by a bottle of ice water to take in the car on the run to work.

COFFEE!!! COFFEE!! COFFEE!!

I know it is not good for me but I start with a pot of coffee at 5:00 am and continue on 'till about 5:00 pm drinking somewhere between 3-4 pots.

I love hazelnut creamer in it, but I can drink it black or with just whole milk.

Coffee for sure but I'll also drink V8 or OJ. When I was in the bread delivery business, I'd drink a cup of coffee on my way to the warehouse then I'd stop at my first stop(usually a WaWa) and fill up my 44oz cup of soda(diet Coke or Pepsi). A buddy of mine used to drink those 44oz mugs full of coffee. The man only drank coffee or soda. It's a wonder his heart didn't explode.

Hot cocoa in milk.

I've never been able to acquire a taste for coffee, though some days I wish I could.

Bleah......

Awe man! Why did you have to mention WaWa. I LOVE the WaWa coffee bar so much!!!
When I'm up that way visiting my son I have to stop at every one I see and get some of
that good coffee. We don't have those down here - just crappy burned tasting 7-11
brew. I rarely ever, only in the case of a major emergency, stop and buy coffee around
here at a convience store. I miss WaWa.....WWAAAAaaaaaa!

You wouldn't say bleah if you tasted some of my iced coffee drinks made with goats milk an cocoa. They are very rich and it's hard to keep from drinking too much.

Wouldn't that be more like a milk shake?
The thought of cold coffee is grose-a-roo.

You could say it is similar but not frozen. I thicken the milk with citric acid and the run it through the blender to make it smooth again. It is thick, creamy and chocolaty and has a dark mocha flavor with plenty of caffeine. I make a gallon every week and put it in the refrigerator for whenever. I get lots of compliments on it.
