"Anorexia" right now describes someone who gets hungry and is fascinated with food but who restricts eating because he or she believes that normal eating results in overweight.

I'm puzzled by sexual "anorexia". Someone who thinks about sex all the time but who refrains from doing any of it? Someone who indulges in porn 24/7 but never has a real relationship?

That might characterize some continent teens but it's hard to understand in adults. If you "burn", you marry or you cat around.

Now, people are just this minute realizing that some women who survive past 40 aren't as wildly intrigued by monkey-sex as they were at 20. However, this isn't a disease or disability - it's just a feature of living beyond 40 for some women. Men over that age may also find that their interest is more along 2 or 3 times a week as opposed to 2 or 3 times an hour (as it may have been at 17).

We're fast getting to a point where people are considered "disabled" in some way if they live beyond their prime reproductive years but don't "work" hard to behave and look as though they were still 20. Normal life stages are now seen as pathological. This is crazy.

I would have to agree Ginger. Sex is a small part of your entire life but it is given far to much importance.

It's all about the hormones. When the hormones are raging, you're gonna want to get busy with someone and it'll be the main thing on your mind. When the hormones fall off, sex is still good but isn't the driving compulsion it is when you're on a hormone high.

For some people that part is smaller than for others... :D
