Top 10 Reasons to Vote Against the Healthcare Reform Bill



It will raise taxes by nearly $500 billion.
It will add over a trillion dollars to the federal debt.
It will result in job losses.
It will increase the cost of insurance.
It will give the federal government the power to make life and death decisions about your healthcare despite what you and your doctor think is best.
It will cut Medicare by more than a half of a trillion dollars.
It will use taxpayer funds to pay for abortions.
It will bankrupt the states, forcing them to make dramatic cuts in other areas, including education and transportation.
It will do nothing to decrease the number of frivolous medical lawsuits or to lower the cost of insurance to protect providers from such lawsuits, thereby forcing more and more doctors out of business.
It is the result of a flawed and unethical process, having been written in secret, hidden from the American people and filled with backroom deals and vote-buying.

Health care will be rationed.....you can not add 30 million to the rolls and not expect longer waits to see a Dr. or schedule surgery.

A number of Dr's will retire/cut back on their hours or not accept new patients including medicare or medicaid patients.

Moving out of the country probably isn't the solution. Where would they go?

Years ago stayed at some bed and breakfasts up on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. One of the places was owned by a young doc and his wife. He said they had to turn their home into a B&B to supplement their income. That socialized med up there sure doesn't insure a lavish lifestyle--wouldn't repay the student loans of many of our docs.

Although doctors in the Caribbean and South America on average make 1/2 to 1/4 less, the cost of living is much lower, income taxes are lower and Doctors are rarely sued. I expect that many doctors will move out of the country to avoid the US government's onerous regulations, taxes, paperwork and lawsuits.

yeah, they'll go to places like Costa Rica, Panama, Brazil, Domenican Republic, Chile to practice. a 1/3 of all doctors quiting or reteiring is going to hurt BADLY if this shit gets passed
