"Tea "Party"" Protesters Booed as Obama Arrives at Capitol

As Obama's motorcade approached the Capitol, crowds of protesters turned and waved signs that read, "Kill the bill," "Stop the spending," and "Get your hands out of my pocketbook and health care."

Many protesters booed and gave the president a thumbs down as the motorcade passed by.

Tea Party Protesters Refused Entry into Congressional Buildings

As part of today's rally to stop the Democrats' health care reform legislation thousands of protesters descended on the lawn of Capitol building. But many more were also using the occasion to visit the their congressional representative and tell them what they think of the bill.

However, Capitol Police recently stopped allowing any of the peaceful protesters to enter into congressional buildings. Crowds are now gathering in front of the House and Senate offices, demanding that they be let in to air their constituent concerns.

How dare constituents harass their REPRESENTATIVES with their concerns and points of view. :mad: Don't these TEA party people know that we elect congressmen to think for us? :rolleyes:

How can a person be a Representative if he doesn't meet with those he/she is suppose to be representing?

How can a person be a Representative if he doesn't meet with those he/she is suppose to be representing?They are afraid of the people thus all of the convolutions to hide their votes.They know the voters are very upset and they are torn between being re elected and pleasing their real masters in the Congress.All it will take is for some Political Idiot to do something really foolish to set this people off !

No idea. Try calling yours and see if you can get a meeting with any of them. I've been trying for months to get meetings with each of mine. :rolleyes:

What a lot of the Congressmen do not realize and I am all giddy about the day it hits them in the face is, they think once the healthcare passes, everything goes back to normal. These pussies are going to have to face their constituents out on the campaign trail and the people are going to be just as pissed off as they are now. I am really hoping and praying to see a few of them trapped in their cars as a crowd surrounds them and starts beating on the car and rocking it.

I've actually run into mine at Pet Smart.

Well since both my senators live at the other end of the state - I can't do that - and since my congressman lives across the city from me in a gerrymandered district - the odds of that happening are also slim. But I have called all three and asked for meetings with them individually to discuss my concerns. I'm even registered as a democrat so that should lend me some support you would think . . . . Of course . . . it's prolly a matter of public record that I have never once contributed to any leftist candidate . . . .
