I agree about the medium and little pink being good. It depends on where I get the ground beef how well done I cook it.

If I get it at the local butcher shop where I know and trust the butcher, I'll cook it medium and pink.

If I'm eating out or get the ground beef at a regular grocery store, I go with fully cooked.

Steak I love cooked medium.

I like mine made from wheat that comes from a field where young children were used to pull the plow and the grain was ground by their bloody calloused hands. The meat tastes better if it came from a calf that was yanked from it's mother's udder and tossed into a grinder in full view of her. Hopefully feet first so it could bleat a few times.

Ah, the Infamous Dismal Burger.

Did you intentionally leave out the step where Laborers who get too old or sick to work are converted into smokestacks for the grill?

Well, we were talking burgers. If we were talking sandwiches over all, I would have to choose a Broodwich. The most evil sandwich ever created. Forged in darkness from wheat harvested in hell's half acre. Baked by Beelzebub. Slathered with mayonnaise beaten from the evil eggs of dark chicken force-fed to dogs by the hands of a one eyed mad man. Cheese boiled from the rancid teat of fanged cow. Layered with 666 separate meats from an animal which has maggots for blood. Yum!

If you're laying off meat for your cholesterol, turkey burgers aren't bad.

You're in cheeseteak Heaven. No vegetarians allowed. That said, when it comes to cheeseburgers, I like mine with lettuce and tomato, Heinz 57 and French fried potatoes. Big Kosher pickle and a cold draft beer. Good God almighty which way do I steer!

To me by far the best burger is a lamburger. They are richer and have more flavor.

Actually, my cholesterol is fine. I just decided to try another diet, and figured a "jolt" to my system by going vegetarian would be a good start. I'm having meat once a week, more out of just circumstance than choice. But I "feel" better eating less of it.

I like mine well done. With cheese, lettuce, raw onion, ketchup and mustard...sometimes a little mayo as well.

Anybody ever eat at Rudfuckers...erm...Fuddruckers? They have buffalo, ostrich, elk, and salmon burgers. I've had all except the salmon one. Not bad. Not as good as good old fashioned beef though.

I had a pretty interesting one the other night at a place in Manchester, CT called Casup & Mustard.

It was a beef patty grilled with a generous pile of pastrami on top, with swiss & american cheese, a spicy horseradish mustard, lettuce, onion, and tomato on a Brioche roll.

My Five Guys goto: a bacon cheese burger with fried onions, pickle chips, A1 steak sauce, and mayo.
